Our mission

We remove everyday barriers so recovery can take root.

Recovery is more than staying sober. It often requires safe housing, meals, transportation, recovery meetings, encouragement, and a path back to stability. Sunlight Sober Living Foundation exists to meet people with practical support when the gap between treatment and long-term recovery feels too wide.

We believe recovery should be seen, supported, and celebrated. Through compassion, community partnerships, and practical support, Sunlight Sober Living Foundation works alongside people in recovery, peer support specialists, families, and local leaders to challenge stigma and help more people find their way forward.

Inspired by recovery scholarship organizations and community grant programs, our model is simple: collect food, funds, gift cards, and local partnerships, then turn those resources into direct recovery support for people who are doing the work to rebuild their lives.

What donations support

Every contribution can become a next right step.

Food & essentials

Grocery boxes, pantry items, hygiene supplies, baby items, gas cards, and store gift cards for people in early recovery.

Sober living assistance

Short-term help that supports safe, substance-free housing while someone builds employment, treatment, and community stability.

Recovery scholarships

Need-based assistance for recovery-related programs, coaching, transportation, recovery meetings, and other approved supports.

Community connection

Partnerships with stores, churches, civic groups, and recovery allies who want to turn compassion into immediate help.

For stores, donors & grant programs

Partner with us to support people in recovery.

We are preparing to apply for local food, gift card, and community grant programs such as Walmart Spark Good, grocery-store community giving, and local business sponsorships. Your support can help stock pantry shelves, fund recovery scholarships, and keep people connected during vulnerable moments.

Ways to help

  • Donate shelf-stable food, hygiene items, or household basics.
  • Provide grocery cards, fuel cards, or emergency essentials.
  • Sponsor a recovery scholarship or sober living support fund.
  • Host a food drive or register Sunlight for workplace giving.
  • Connect us with local grant, community room, or storefront fundraising opportunities.
